Vincent
Kids & junior program lead.
Cecilie
Purple belt. Cecilie started BJJ in 2013 at the age of 11 and has since competed widely across the Nordics. She loves the community and atmosphere of the sport — and now enjoys teaching the kids' class at Hive. She's training to become a physiotherapist, where her interest in the body and movement goes hand in hand with her passion for BJJ. Off the mats she travels the world, surfs and dives.
Robert
Blue belt. Part of the coaching team for the juniors. Robert started BJJ in 2023 at Gracie Barra Maastricht under Jordy Peute, and moved to Hive after relocating to Copenhagen to study economics. Having played team and individual sports all his life, he finds the camaraderie and trust people build at Hive — in both the adult and kids classes — truly something special. He competes often and helps coach other athletes, organise travel logistics and field competition questions. Off the mats he works as an IT consultant and spends his holidays out in nature.
Alkistis
2nd dan black belt in judo and BJJ blue belt, with years of experience competing and coaching. By day, Alkistis is a PhD researcher at the University of Copenhagen studying how the brain controls movement — a curiosity she brings to coaching too. She holds a BSc in Sports Science and Physical Education and an MSc in Human Performance.
Christian
Purple belt. Christian found jiu-jitsu by chance in 2019, walking into an MMA gym and trying a grappling class. Fresh off a long injury layoff from boxing, not getting punched — and actually enjoying training again — was reason enough to stay. He's been on the mats ever since, first and foremost for the social side and the community of the sport. He has visited more than 25 gyms around the world — a number he's looking to grow every year.
Ievgenii
Blue belt. Ievgenii started BJJ at Hive at the end of 2021, shortly after the pandemic — and has competed regularly ever since, locally and internationally: the IBJJF European and European Masters Championships, plus tournaments like the Danish Open, Malmö Open and Dublin Open. He's also an ADCC Certified Referee, having officiated at ADCC Denmark 2025. Teaching the junior class is his way of sharing the passion — helping young students build confidence, discipline and a love of learning on the mats.
Viktor Vazquez Ploug
Blue belt. Viktor started BJJ at 14, and the sport has been a huge part of his life ever since — shaping him as an athlete and as a person through discipline, consistency and resilience. He has trained and competed in several countries, and has coached the kids and juniors classes for the past year and a half. His goal is for every class to be fun and welcoming — a place where everyone builds confidence, learns new skills and improves.
